Instead of counting
on a local backup drive, why not let Touch Support
manage remote backups for you? Considering the effort
it takes to restore backups from a system failure
and the resources involved setting up a local backup
system, it makes more sense every day to outsource
the tedious and laborious task of managing and testing
your backup/disaster recovery plans. Outsourcing
to Touch Support means more free time to operate
and grow your business!

Security
Platform
Many backup solution providers offer simple user-level
accounts on shared machines, which means other people
may be able to see your backup files when logging
in! We solve this problem by offering each of our
clients their own virtual private space that allows
full access to You while keeping others out.
Physical
Our NOC and mini-datacenter are physically watched
every minute of every day by our technical support
and administration teams. There is no greater security
than several human beings physically monitoring
the datacenter floor.
Network
All backup transfers are blowfish encrypted (1024
bit) to ensure that your data remains private and
maintains its integrity on the journey from your
server to our backup array.
Internal Redundancy
All of our backups are maintained on fault tolerant
backup arrays. In addition we conduct periodic failure
readiness tests to ensure a drive failure will not
cause harm or inconvenience to our clients.
How It Works
Our setup process as it pertains to new clients
entails a simple server questionnaire. After this
is complete, our team will login to your server
and, based on your specifications, configure your
backups to be congruent with our backup schedule.
After this is done, we will run the initial backup
within 24 hours. All backups from this point forward
will be incremental backups run at the scheduled
time of day/week.

Limitations
While every client is provided with a private
VPS for their own backup space, we do limit access
to SSH-only connections. The VPS is further limited
by concurrent connections and transfer speed.
As our system is based on incremental bacukps,
it should be noted that we do not allow transfers
of daily control-panel-generated or other backup
archives or files (for example, cPanel's daily
backup .tar.gz files).
It's important to ensure quality that the space
we offer be used only for backups and only for
the backup schema we have in place. As we will
maintain your backups, there is no additional
need to upload or copy files into your backup
space in general, however, if special needs exist,
you may contact our team 24 hours a day to make
special arrangements.
